Madeleine Shaw’s Healthy Living Box

We’re really excited to be working with nutritionist Madeleine Shaw (pictured below) who has created her very own set box for us filled with a few of her favourite field&flower cuts.

Madeleine is a qualified nutritional health coach from the world’s largest nutrition school, the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and it’s great to be working with her. Not only is she a self-professed creative in the kitchen, but her meat philosophy, likes ours, is simple, believing wholeheartedly in choosing 100% naturally-fed and free-range meat when it comes to leading a healthy lifestyle.

And that’s where her Healthy Living Box comes in, having chosen our most nutritious cuts such as our grass-fed lamb shoulder and free-range boneless chicken thighs to enjoy as part of a balanced and clean diet. And with each box, you’ll also receive Madeleine’s top healthy eating tips as well as a few of her homemade recipes so you’re never stuck for fresh and creative ideas.

It’s not available just yet, but look out for Madeleine’s box coming very soon to the website.

Our Christmas Turkeys

Can you believe we’re talking about Christmas already? All of our turkeys were born in the middle of July; they’re so tiny and very vulnerable at the moment so our farmer Stuart (pictured below) has to keep them inside warm brooding sheds for their first 4-6 weeks to keep them safe.

You can see from the pictures, for their first month or so the birds are incredibly fluffy, but very soon they will grow their hard feathers which enables them to resist the rain and keep warm.

We’ll have to wait for September until they can roam free around Stuart’s farm; at that time they should be strong enough to withstand any bad weather and just about large enough to put off any potential birds of prey such as buzzards and red kites.

We’ll keep you posted with how they’re doing.
